The e420d Basic Select ECU is the entry level unit that packs some serious features for it's practical price. The e420d can:

Finally, the E1280S Super ECU is the top of the line unit of the Universal/Standalone models. Its patented completely configurable tuning system allows the tuner to implement ANY control function that can be articulated, using a system of basic elements like maps/tables, PID controllers, timers and basic arithmetic and logical functions. The tuning software has been designed to make most of this functionality transparent to less advanced users, so the ECU can be installed by novices and experienced tuners alike.

The E1280S features:

• 12 injector outputs which allows full sequential injection up to 12-cylinders, staged injection fully sequential up to 6 cylinders, or full sequential primary and semi sequential secondary up to 8 cylinders.
• 8 ignition outputs which allows coil-on-plug up to 8 cylinders, or 12 cylinders with external ignition multiplexing.
• A fully integrated Oscilloscope

What's the pricing on something like this in currently looking into with AEM Ems or hondata s300 my cars setup wil be D15b engine no more then 10 psi of boost? What of your system would you recommend

 

Based of the units you mentioned I would recommend either the e420d Basic or the 440 Universal Select for your D15b around 10psi.

The e420d Basic starts at $855 and depending on which harness you choose will include everything you need to run your vehicle. With this model you will have the ability to enable open & closed loop fuel/ignition control, setup launch control, run dual MAP switching for street vs. track for example, and have Dual closed-loop variable valve timing (Vtech) channels.

The 440 Universal is a step up at $1259 but you will gain Advanced Adaptive Fuel Control which will actually 'tune itself' depending on your inputs and running conditions, traction control as well as launch control, Flex Fuel compatibility which analyzes actual ethanol mixture in real-time and transmits feedback to the ECU to ensure proper delivery, and finally the ability to run fully sequential fuel and ignition on all for cylinders for significantly improved power and efficiency.

Again both of these models have a 4 BAR MAP sensor for plenty of room to turn up the boost, feature a 3.5mm headphone jack for real-time knock monitoring, utilizes USB connection to computer or laptop, and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, & 7.

They also both have two wiring loom options, one short for splicing into the stock harness & sensors as well as one long for a complete custom install if you prefer.
