So I began sanding my car a few days ago, when i got to the quarter panel I realized that whoever had the car before me must have gotten new quarter panels and a new hood because when I was sanding down some rock chips black paint underneath it started coming up. My question is do I have to to sand off all the red down to the black or am I still good to just smooth it all out?
