Default wetsanding flat clear

is the process the same?

im painting the car a satin color with a flat clear in order to retain the satin finish....what i want to know is that when you lay down the clear and after it dries, it basically vanishes and the image is just of the base coat...

will orange peel show? if i were to wetsand it, do i polish it? will it still stay flat if i do polish it? not sure what to do here since i will be doing this by myself...

I've spayed a few misc. parts w/ flat, satin and semi-gloss clear. If its prepped, applied in the correct way to minimize the surface peel and nibs, there should be no reason to wet sand and buff. Since there is less shine the peel is less noticeable on the reflection of the surface.
