I used rustoleum gloss white with Canadian Blue Metallic Flakes. Its looks great especially when the sun hits it. Here some pictures.

those are nice results.i like trying new things.

i was afraid the outcome was not very nice ,because with rusto u don't use clear, and mayby for that ,the flakes don't come out very well.

sorry for my poor english.

i'm happy that some one tried it before and the results are good.now i go do this with gloss black with bleu flakes.

after it first dryed i felt the car and it felt like if there was lots of dust or something on the paint but after wetsanding it smoothed out and also by buffing it, so at the end it was smooth and it looked much better..

haha how about you go buy some paint and flakes and try yourself... and see if you like it.

will do that.

i'm prepping the car right now.removing molding rubbers, antenna, logo's,side markers, keyhole in the trunk, digs and dents, and making it clean

i think in a coupple of weeks it is ready ,and i will try it to a fender or trunk .

i already bought gloss black and bright bleu flakes.

thanks for the information

hm, comparing the rustos with flakes and the ones without flakes, the ones with flakes dont look as shiny as the ones that dont have flakes. I'd be scared to sand it really good with sandpaper.

Flakes might come off and ruin the paint, but what do i know, never used flakes.

This is an age old argument, especially if you're going to shoot it out of an HLVP gun. By spending the money on rustoleum, you're NOT that far away from REAL auto paint with a good pearl in it. Like a hundred bucks away. Totally serious. Single stage urethane is about as cheap as it gets.
