rattle can prep
i posted in the rattle can paint thread but no respense, so i thought i could post here.
ill be rattle canning my hatch white within the next month and i want to do it right. (i know people will say paint it with a gun but i dont have the money for that and i just need to get rid of the shitty black on it now. so haters hate on, but im using rattle can.)
my question is should i do primer, then black, then white? Primer then white? Or just black then white?
may seem like a stupid question but i want to make sure i do it right and not waste paint.
yes i will be doing all the proper body work. sanding and filling and such.
any input will help.
thanks

Re: rattle can prep
I think OP may be reffering to black primer, which would then yield the question, why do you feel the need to spray gray primer then black primer??
gray primer, white, clear , beer,
in that order... ditch the black...

Re: rattle can prep
grey primer it then white.
I would suggest not to clear over the white if you are to spray with rattle can.
Give it four even coats with the white so that you have meat to cut and buff that and have a cheap job looking top notch.
