Default Primmer pics request!!!!

ok well i was going to get the ride painted this summer but i decided to get another turbo soooooooooo im just going to primmer it until next summer.

now there are alot of rice bucket primmer cars running around my area so i dont want to be affiliated with them.... so i want to get a nice deep green primmer, satin black primer, or what i really want to do is some crazy design in it.

i would just like pics of cars with dark greem primmer, satin black, or cool designs.

thanks!

Get PPG DP series epoxy primer, you can get a killer olive green...Oh and once it is cured, use a little tire shine on it to keep it from chaulking, and yes you will need to remove all of the tire primer and start fesh before you paint it next summer.

It is not good for it, that is for sure...but if you plan on keeping the primer on there for that long, you will need to strip it anyways...It just keeps the chaulkiness away, and only use it on epoxy primers.

Primers are not designed to be exposed to UV rays though, and they will break down, not only that but they absorb moisture, and that can promote corrosion over time.

Not all primers absorb moisture, you can get an epoxy primer that protects against moisture and water. Used for sealing.

That is true, but it still wont won't be UV stable, so it still needs to be topcoated...

if you use a sealer primer you will be fine...i would just go with a quick satin paint job man...its quick and easy to spray and it will be good til you get a good paint job

i was also gonna say, you can use a primer/sealer, but like deviant said it wont hold up to uv rays....If you want a nice satin job that will last, then get your color mixed how you want it and add a flatener to the clear!

Or go the cheap route and buy hot rod flatz....its cheap and will hold up for considerably longer than primer.

Hot rod Flatz is a urethane based system not laquer.
