Good paint comes from proper prep, application, and finishing.

true, but certain brand base coats and clear coats determine the way the finish can look, and last

i like limco as a budget brand, but only for a full repaint, it will never work when blending panels on a factory repair, i used the nighthawk black pearl basecoat on my own car, and their 4100 clear coat is supposed to be pretty top notch as well, all for a very good price.

put it this way... BASF is so big that more then likely... a majority (not all, but a majority) of the other paint companies out there are actually using BASF paint, labeled under watever company they are. BASF is that big

just dont shortchange yourself by doing a $50 paint job... invest some money in good paint.. and you should be solid.

glasurit 55 line base and glasurit 923-255 clear coat. My first time ever painting a car.

This is right out of the booth after it baked.

just goes to show how much you know about painting  if you had any sort of knowledge in the field you would know that that has nothing to do with the brand or quality of the paint, it has to do with how it was sprayed. dumbass

Ok lets not get off topic on this one.... So should I go with the basf glasurit base and clear or the glasurit base and a different clear... I just want the best results for my car, I am a noob at paint so I was just curious.

depends on how expensive you want to go, i paid 250 for the gallon size clear kit for limco 4100 clear, the same thing in glasurit is almost 500, not counting you will need at least a gallon of basecoat, i paid 125 for a gallon of nighthawk black pearl in limco base and the glasurit base is about 350

not really u can lay down a very nice glass coat with advantage clear and a very orange peel'd coat with a very top end clear (as in ppg or what ever your brand of choice is) all depending on what your regulator is set or how fast/slow you lay it down...and thats why even professionals have to sand/buff....dumbass
