Default PDR or new panel.

I pulled my car out this morning to mow the lawn and as I am mowing the lawn I see a dent on the passenger side.

My guess is it happened at the grocery store. It could have been a grocery cart.

I took it to A PDR shop today they said they were not sure if they could do it. There are a few small scratches that can be sanded out. He gave me a price of $160. That includes sanding and buffing the panel.

I am considering buying a new panel and putting it on myself and having it painted at a body shop.

Any advice?

am I the only one that sees that dent on 2 body lines?

Looks to me like there is a body line right in the middle of the dent that fades off in the fender from the door, and looks like its dented in the lines of the wheel well lip as well. If it is damaged along a body line, it is HIGHLY unlikely it will look perfect. And with the larger dents on body lines.... on a black car...it will be noticeable after the repair

take it to a body shop, most will take that out for free.

although that paint might start chipping or hairlining cause that dent is at a bend part

I don't know any bodyshop that would take that dent out for FREE.

I would love to live where you do, so I can get free dent repair!

I don't know where you live, but if they are doing free body work, I am about to move there, screw doing all my work myself.

No bodyshop in their right mind would do something like that free.

I am going to a junk yard on friday to see if I can find one. I need some parts for my truck too. I am not going to do PDR. I would rather pay a little extra and have it look good.

Thanks guys
