I am on the market for a new paint sprayer because my old one just died. I had a harbor freight one which was quite alright at the time because i was doing much painting but now im about to paint my shell and bay so i would like a bit nicer one. i will probably end up spraying a couple more cars in the 6 months so im looking for a good quality sprayer thats not going to kill the bank account. I have a compressor, regulator, A/W separator and all the goods to get it going. What are you guys using or would recommend? Thanks for any future help!

Once I fiugured out I had a bad pressure regulator attached to the gun, I love it. i have an Iwata for a primer gun, and Im a bigger fan of the transtar. I havent got to paint anything big yet, just been smoking taillights and painting some small stuff, but Im painting my beater truck this week with it, so ill be giving it a good workout.

i use a devilbiss finishline 3 it comes with 3 different size tips and is a great little gun. its about 170ish from tcpglobal.

Let me know how the truck turns out! What differences are you looking for in a primer gun and a paint gun?

What are the differences in paint with tip sizes? obviously more or less paint but what do you need to change them for?

2k high build primers are very thick, so you need a bigger tip to lay it down. I have a 2.0 tip for my primer gun, and my Transtar gun have a 1.3 for base and clear.

Thanks for the help! my next qquestion is off topic but still in forum. I want to get a seal kit for the civic after its painted, like all the doors and windows, anyone know where i can find anything like that?

Finishline is good quality. But this question is meaningless without a budget. Or an idea of how powerful your compressor actually is.

i personally use SATA guns i love them. I also get them for $525 almost a $730 gun. Snap on HPLV top feed sprays pretty nicely
