Default Paint, Rust Issue..

I got some paint chips that lead to a small rust spot. I've since sanded it down and my paint has ruined a bit.

Was wondering how to completely rust proof it.

Btw, touch up paint works?

i was planning on using rust olem primer and then touch up w/ paint.

Any ideas?

Thanks

sand it down make sure to feather edge the paint though (have your paint make a smooth transition from bare metal to paint) 180 grit should do it than use a good primer then ur touch up paint

You can get automotive touch-up primer...use that NOT rustoleum. Then use touch up paint on top of that.
