Default Paint Oxidation

Ive got a 98 accord 4dr that is tan in color. Ive got some bad oxiidation spots on the roof and side passenger door. I was wondering if anyone knew how to treat or prevent this from happening. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Once the clear coat is gone, you're pretty much hosed. You'll need to get the car recleared at a minimum but the paint probably has already taken a beating too.

Regular washing and waxing will definitely help, but after the damage is done, it's done.

Haha, well I wouldn't say a $250 Maaco paint job is the best, that's usually single stage stuff with clear and hardly any prep work. But this seems really location dependent, some have awesome experiences and some have horrible. If you're interested in it there's a Maaco thread in the Paint/Body forum lower on the front page you can thumb through.

The best option would be to have more like $2000-3000 paint job.
