A razor blade or utility knife blade.

I use one to remove the sticker from my windshield after every auto-x.

Be certain to lay the sharp edge flat against the glass, and scrape away.

if the paint has already dried / cured, then goo gone won't work.

Not sure why anyone would be afraid of a razor blade. Its also how I clean my glass top stove. Over 6 years, never once scratched it.

Just don't be an idiot and try and use the corner...

Go buy a razor blade scraper like such:

I use mother's chrome/mag polish when it's glass, but otherwise just a scraper.
