i have alot of questions but i will take it one step at a time...first of all my name is jay and i have been here on h-t for about 10 months now in the ef forums and fg forums....i don't know all to much about auto paint but am good with anything motor wise.... because i did well shooting powder coating uniformly at a old job i tried shooting paint for a friend and did well with a single stage...now that i did good spraying his car i decided to paint my own car..but i have had a few problems and i don't know alot about body work but i have used bondo fiberglass -weave-and -mat / with resend and also spot putty...i did a good job sanding and filling dings on my friends car that after i painted... it was not noticeable so i feel comfortable painting my car...i had a little windshield surface rust on my crx because my weather striping was sitting up a little.. so i have taken it down to bare metal and am about to shoot the primer that i shot the rest of the car with but it does not say primer sealer on it...i know that im supposed to use etching primer on bare metal surfaces but is it possible to use the primer that i have on just this little spot with out having to use the etching primer ???? do i need to use a sealer on my car because my primer does not say sealer??? i have alot of questions but i will take it one step at a time...i don't know all to much about auto paint ....the primer that i am using isevercoat durabuild high build acrylic primer surfacer...thanks and be ready to have more questions from me
