you dont want to shoot single stage its really hard to get it right when you are new. trust me, i chose nason single stage acrylic enamel and i wish i went with base/clear.

it wet sanded and buffed out fine but it was hard to lay consistant.

good luck

at any auto paint store. Just give them a paint code, they'll mix the paint and you also purchase some clear coat...I usually get Omni brand paint. It lays down good, and it's an off brand of PPG

-Paint base(color of your choice)
-Reducer(I usually get Medium Reducer)
-Clear coat
-Hardner

When I repainted my car, I only spent about $350-$400 for everything. This is what I bought

-1 Gallon of Paint
-1 Gallon of Clear
-1 Gallon of Reducer
-1 qt. of Hardner
-1 pint Flex additive(for the bumpers and lip kit)
-800 grit sand paper
-1500 grit sand paper
-Scotch bright pad

And I still have some of these supplies left over

I sprayed my 00 Prelude. For your hatch, you could get away with 3 qts of paint and probably still have some left over. I have to repaint a 93 hatch for a friend of mine
