Default My Spoiler...The Tutorial/Guide

My spoiler arrived today... and it was bland.

so after some pondering I took a trip to pep boys and got some supplies to paint it over with

the man there said I would only need a base and a clear coat for some shine in order to get this done, so i took the word he gave me and went home.

when i got home i wiped down the spoiler to get rid of the dust and applied the first coat.

afterwards a second, and finally a third coat was applied.

soon after that came the clear coats. it only took three coats on either side to give it the same consistency of my particular car.. soon it had a nice shine

the last part came mounting which just needed drilling
the wiring was cake.. just tap the red spoiler wire into the green signal wire of the brake light, and ground the other one into a ground or just... ground it.

the only picture i have of it was at night, but you guys get the ideal

sorry, felt compelled to do a write up on this since I couldn't find any info

when you attempt to post pictures, you need to right click on the image to copy the image location.

if you copy the URL from the display window, it is a link to a page.

a hint, if your URL doesn't end in jpg or gif, then you aren't displaying a picture

Might want to look into fixing it unless the "x" was white before and now that its painted it shows up this nice lil red color

Looks decent, though you may want to consider wet sanding and possibly applying some additional clear.

that's how it blended with my oem paint.
my first paint job for auto but it turned out really well imo

and i'm not going to go overboard with clear or wet sanding for now
i plan to get a whole new paint job in the coming months so it won't be necessary to go all out on such a small piece
