take a car battery, cut it up with a sawzall, and pour the acid all over the hood. make sure you do this indoors with little to no ventilation

Drrr... I thought the title was because of someone new to the English language and wanted a how-to on removing rust, which I would help with.

Unfortunately, the title says it all.

My advice is to find someone with a rusty hood and trade them. That way, at least someone will have a better looking car, even if it isn't you.

Sand down paint, brush with metal brush, combine vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (and salt if desired) and brush onto exposed metal, leave outside.

The "how" is easy to answer. The "why", I can't even try.

Of course, if you want the look without the tetanus, http://www.ehow.com/how_6547190_paint-rust-effects.html

Agreed. Just use a paint stripper to take off all the paint, use a spray bottle filled with water and a lot of salt. Leave the hood out side over night after spraying the whole hood down. (You can leave it on the car and sand down the fenders if you want the extra JDM rust yo)

Do this until you have holes in the hood, it helps to cool the engine down, adds like 5hp and 1ft/lbs tq
