how much and where?
So I started college this semester and hate it, realizing school isnt for me. I really want to get into Collision repair and painting so my one friends dad who owns a well known body shop is pretty much going to take me under his wing and teach me how. But here is my question.
I would like to repaint my car(95 civic coupe). I want to do something silver or sivler metallic, and not sure what brand to go with yet so if anyone has pictures of a nice color and can let me know where to get it, but im curious on how much paint would be needed.
I have a compression and small gun to work with, im going to be doing all the body work, and need to know how much primer and what kind, how much paint, and then how much clear to have it look legit and nice.

for base ur looking at about 4 quarts. prob about a quart of sealer a couple quarts of primer surfacer and any where from 2 to 4 quarts of clear. all these are sprayable amounts.( that means that this is the total amount with the reducers and stabilizers and hardeners mixed in.)......that should get you close. and as far as paints. there's a lot of good stuff out there....for the money i like Sherwin Williams.it sprays good. it has a good warranty, lays down great and is fairly easy on the wallet but its all about personal preference
