im going to buy the interchangeable tip devilbliss spray gun to paint my crx and I need to buy a compressor with at least 3hp for fairly cheap. I also dont kno the minimum cfm requirement for it to work.

please post links to any good compressors that will last for VERY seldom use besides two paint jobs and with the correct cfm for the devilbliss.

most hvlp guns require 12-14 cfm for maximum performance... I believe Devibliss are most efficient at 12cfm but its different for different models... check the specs on the gun before you buy it
i dont think a small 3hp compressor will work very well for painting cars. You need at least a 5 hp compressor that can handle 12cfm and up... Found some at Sears and at Northern tool but they aint cheap!

 

yea thats my problem, compressors are expensive
