how to fix this?
so the previous owner did some bondo work i guess. he filled the side molding (and a little more i believe) with bondo.
who should i go about fixing this? i have a couple of friends who have experience with bondo. do i just need to chisel the old bondo off? and how much do you guys think would a shop charge me to get this fixed? thanks

your gonna have to take the old filler out like you said. then you can build patches for the molding spots then have them welded in or glue them on with automotive glue. NO JB WELD. then use a fiberglass filler to make sure its not water proof then filler. and it will be done right. or if you wanna do it cheap take the filler out and sand everything so its all good get it painted and put the moldings back on

then it's gonna be easy just sand off all the bondo and replace the moldings. hopefully theres not any more damage in that area. if you took it to a shope your looking at $100-200 for them to remove, not worth it do it yourself

3M makes an abrasive pad that cuts through bondo without damaging the metal, it's a purple pad. autobodydepot.com or something like that.
