Exactly what I use, you can find it at Wal-Mart in the paint section. They have it marked 0000 which is the finest that they have.

I use thinner also. Not really a problem if you slightly damp a rag with it. Dont soak, or completely damp it because it will drip as soon as you rub the glass. Just lightly damp it. Have a hose ready to spray incase you did drip some. It will be fine. It takes a couple seconds for it to actually etch the paint. but you can just rinse off before it does though, just dont rub on it.
Clay bar is still the easiest and safest solution by far. Why risk using thinner or steel wool when there is an option that is much safer and will yield the same results?
Also, a clay bar can be used everywhere on the car, paint, rims, glass, headlights, trim, etc.

Why would he use such an expensive method such as claying the windows? No reason to go buy that unless you really want to. It's probably your best method, but the thinner will work well and its a lot cheaper. Soak a rag and just rub it on the windows. Don't worry about getting it on your paint, just don't hold it there. It's not going to take paint off that fast. I use thinner all the time to take **** off of the paint on my car / cars im working on.
^^True story. I dont know where people get the idea paint thinner is going to eat right through the paint as soon as it touches lol. Aircraft remover, now that is a diffrent story.
Well if you read the whole thread, there is a couple people that says "dont get it on the paint" which is sort of implying isnt it? I'll throw a whole bucket of thinner on my car and rinse it off before anything happens. Btw I gave my 2cents to the op in my first post. I'm just following the thread
