Default Got the runs!

I cleared this mirror ive been practicing on....got a bad run in 2 spots....tried sanding them with 1500 by hand, then 800 by hand, barely doing anything, can I hit this with a DA with maybe 600 grit?

you can use a razor blade to cut therun out..then sandit with 800 wet....that should do the trick, then either buff or re-clear

Every run I've ever encountered, you can only get them close to gone. You will always be able to see them. Your best bet is to block them down then re-spray the panel/mirror, whatever you're working on.

down the clear...and try not to cut into the base coat...otherwise you have to re-base it too

Sweet I think I can handle it. Will 320 be okay? Then maybe wet sand it with a higher grit to smooth it back out?

No if u use 320 u will need to rebase the part......You can buy a thing called a run file or denibber....It will only cut at the run till it gets the run flat. Then you can block with 800 then 1000,1500,2000 and then buff.

Here are a couple that i found on Ebay....This isnt to sell these just so you know what you will need....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Paint...spagenameZWD1V
