Man, thats the bg33p or whatever color isn't it? Thats a really sweet (and not terribly common) stock color, I think you should just get it resprayed the same.
If you still want to do the flat black, don't cheap out and Krylon it. Get it done professionally with hot rod black or one of the similar coatings. Thats the only way you're going to get it to look nice like the one you posted above. And doing it that way and matching the jams and everything else will end up costing you more than just fixing what you have. Good luck.

I love flat black man! It's your car so do what you think will be the best for you. It takes a lot to get it right, so if you do, make sure that it is what you want. Don't want to go through all of it just to change the color. I think it would be tight though.
I think its ghetto dude. It looks like primer. You'll have to tell everybody who thinks its primered that it is the color you chose and they will wonder why you chose a color that looks like primer. Then you will think they are dumbasses. Flat black is cool for heat shields and BMX bikes.
If you go with flat black, use John Deere Blitz Black paint.
It is extremely tough and $44 worth of paint will be more than enough paint for your car. You can get it @ any John Deere store.

if you want flat black you need your base coat, and ultra flat clear, just ask for it at the paint store. we painted my brothers motorcycle flat black with diamont ultra flat clear
on a personal note, if your gona spend that kinda money to paint it flat black the CORRECT way, make sure you go over that car with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything looks smooth and lines up before you paint, and make sure your prep work is done properly.
