cf front lip
I was driving the other day and I hit a opossum. Now my lip has a solid crack right down the middle.
Is there a how to page on repairing cracks? i.e step by step procedure
Ive searched and it led me to dead ends...
I know I would probably have to get some sort of fiberglass resin to repair it...and then sand, buff, polish, etc...I just want to know if anybody has done it sucessfully?
Is using rattle can clear ok to use on a lip? or will it turn out like crap?

If your talking about the actuall lip being cracked (in half) forget about clear your going to have to repair both sides or it will crack again which will mean youll have fiber glass visually on the outside. If it just the gel coat thats cracked you can forget bout it cause thats a gel coat (its very thick) and you'll mess up the cf before you visually get that crack out. If the lip is that important the only other option is to sand the whole thing and lay cf over it (would not recomend, its too much work unless your a bum and have massive amounts of patince. Deal with it repair it OR REPLACE IT!
I guess all I can do is fix it a little. I was planning on adding fiberglass behind the crack to make it a little more sturdy.
The crack is not all the way through...
Ill deal with damages i suppose..thanks for the advice
