i have a gouge in my bumper, i plan on plastic welding it but to smooth out the imperfections, can i used bondo after? i know bondo doesnt like to flex.

 

Use an actual 2 part plastic repair, like Lord Fuser. You'll also need an adhesion promoter.

 

ive used fiberglass resin on bumpers before but not bondo.

 

just resin, no fibers, right? i hate sanding resin.

 

another option is a flexible polyester glaze. you use it pretty much just like any other filler. But its a good idea to put some adhesion promoter on before you put on the filler. I've had great results with it. But it also depends on where the repair area is, if its in a spot that flexes a lot your probably gonna have a hard time keeping it from cracking no mater what you use.
