Default bent corner

ok, when i recieved my new hood (old one was crashed) the corner was bent down in the mail and in a rush to put it on i just straitened it up with a pair of plyers before sending it to a body shop to get the radiator support straitened out. I only realized the great mistake i made afterwards. what should i do to fix this?? pics are below

It's really not that bad. I'd pull the hood off, grab a toe dolly, and hammer that back into shape. You're going to need a little glaze to finish it off before primer, but it shouldn't bother anything down the road. I did a similar thing a door corner. Good luck!

thanks! now, i dont know anything about painting so how exactly would i go about repainting it? I should do the whole hood (just black, too cheap to color match it to the car) because its just the paint that it came in the mail with and apparently that rusts over time. I might just go 50 dollar paintjob style, except just on the hood.

Well..... I'll assume you don't have paint guns or even an air compressor to support a paint gun so I'll try a way that's most inexpensive (although not the most durable). After you get the panel straight with glaze (which should be all you need if you did the metal work even semi-properly), prime the spot (~3 coats) with some spray can primer (we're going with cheap, remember?), sand with 180, re-prime, then sand with 400grit along with the rest of the hood. I know, that was the longest sentence ever. Anyways, now the surface is prepped for any paint you'd like to put down. Good luck again.
