Im trying to pull an anodized blue paint code from the web so I can pass this onto my painter for some work I need to have done but I cant seem to find the code for him. Hes a pretty old fashioned guy and Im not sure how well I'll do looking it up with him, so Id prefer having it going to the shop..
This is pretty much the tone of blue im shooting for, so if anyone knowledgable in this department can help me out...? Right on!

why not just use those spray cans you can get at kragens/autozone that are made to look like an andodized color dave? i think theyre called metalcast, and they have blue, red, and purple i think. or like the other guys said, it would be best to go to a paint store and look throught the paint chip books.

Comes out different in the light and indoors. Its the 04 Nissan 350Z blue.
These are 5 yr old pics, only ones I have right now. In some angles it has that "candy" effect, but not really a full anodized look.

good to know. Im gonna look up that color code RIGHT NOW lol. I narrowed it down to the 2005 Subaru Sti Blue aka WR Blue Pearl. Which isnt as close to an anodized blue as the 350z blue, or the candy blue above.
Im gonna check it out online and find out the code before he starts the prep work etc... Thanks for the help guys.

sweet! so you used the 350Z color. Ya i love that color. I dont know which brand you used, but I used a cheaper brand similar to the PPG I guess. All the paint with clear cost only $220 or so. I had a friend paint this on the driveway too and unbelievably turned out real nice.

Thanks for the heads up because I like this much more than than anodized blue since im getting the best of both worlds. Anodized blue is just anodized. This one looks like a pearl blue in the sun, a pepsi blue in overcast weather, and a royal blue at night. Kind of has a hint of what looks to be purple at some points..
ya i got 3-4 pints i think. plus it has 2-3 coats of clear. some parts we put more clear on. and some parts we put more coats on. still had alot extra.
ya the color is real nice. has alot of shades to it. I want to do one of my other CRXs in something like this but in red.

kinda sort of... but not really. Thats what I wanted but everyone kept saying on random forums when I searched that cusco would never give up the paint code for they're parts because if they did and somone started mass producing cheaper **** they would lose business blah blah blah... makes complete sense, so after looking around.. the color he shot to me was the closest one to it, but better... Since im able to get the pearl.
Anodized is cool, but where the hell would i be able to find anodized blue cover up paint if I accidently scratch it....? pretty much nowhere.. So all in all it worked in my favor either way..
