Default My Clean 91 Eclipse GSX

Thought I'd post a few pics of my GSX. Its worth posting (in my opinion) because its one of the cleaner DSM's around. My goal is to make this car a perfect weekend driver with everything working 100%. In my opinion, its the little things that make a 20 year old car nice...clean interior, mint condition headliner, no dings/dents etc.

Right now the car makes 305whp, 315tq...should run mid to low 12's at 110mph...although i haven't gotten it to the track yet.

Mods are fairly simple. Stock 6bolt w/ cams, 780cc injectors, extrude honed intake manifold, evo3 16g, big fmic, built trans, twin disk, 4bolt rear, shocks/springs, rpf1's, chipped ecu, afc.

I almost bought a 1g DSM, but the synchros were shot and it wasn't nearly as nice the OP's. It's a car I wouldn't mid having though, seeing as they are so quick for so cheap.

FMIC is an extremePSI.com product. it's a garrett core with their endtanks, which is why i picked it up. in my opinion, garrett makes some of the best IC core's and in the future...when this car gets a bigger turbo...i want a decent IC. ebay core's work ok...but have limitations.

and yes, i live in st pete fl. have lived here for approx 7 years now.

my advice would be to find a nice used high quality fmic. dsm parts are so cheap now compared to the early 2000's...and very few people have money to spend bringing prices down even further. things aren't what they used to be...that's for sure.

in any case, maybe i'll see you around at some point. i rarely drive the car although i may take it to the track in the next month or two just to see how it does.

I'm using a CXRacing intercooler and charge piping and it's working fine. You might pick up a little more power using a precision/spearco/etc. core, but for the money it's a good quality product. Their customer service is very good as well--the first one i bought from them was too big and the exchanged it for me with a smaller one and used the price difference to cover shipping.
