2nd Gen Pilot Audio, Display Screen and HVAC controls upgrade
I've done a little searching, but cannot find anything. Has anyone upgraded the audio system, display screen, and hvac controls from the 2013-14 Pilots into 2009-11? (I left 2012 out because I am still confused when the update actually hit US shores) If so, did anyone do a write-up, and/or willing to share some info? So far, it looks like the HVAC controls will be a straight swap, not sure on audio yet, and looks like the display will require some custom wiring. Anyone know how much (if any) data comes through fast-CAN to the display? Any idea if I will have to have a Honda HIM with HDS to code it in?
Related question....I already have the full dealership service manuals for 2009-2011 Pilot (including Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) and I am looking to buy just the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for the mid cycle refresh Pilot. From what I have read, that "should" be 2012, however other things I have read say 2013. To make it a bit more confusing, I have found manuals that are just for model year 2012, and manuals that are for model year 2012-2013. Based on this, I am assuming the updated Pilot came out in the middle of 2012, and that I need the manual for 2012-2013, and not the manual that is only for 2012. Anyone know if that's correct?
Thanks for any help.
