Default Performance shops in Oregon

I just moved here from Virginia & I plan on getting a Civic, Integra or Del Sol REAL soon. I wanted to know the legit/trust worthy Honda/performance shops I could go to if I wanted a swap or any engine work done. I live in Beaverton, so anything in a 15-ish mile radius. Thanks!

Just fyi Ground Zero is now VIP Performance and i've had a few friends get some work done with them and from what i've heard they are good, haven't heard anything about getting turbo's done there i've had friends get that sort of thing done at horsepower freaks but they are always filled up.

From what I understand there is no longer a service department for Horsepower Freaks. I stopped in there almost a year ago for a BOV, and noticed that the Torque Freaks sign was gone. In the past Horsepower Freaks was for parts and Torque freaks was for service, and dyno tuning. I asked someone there and he said that Torque Freaks was now closed and that Horsepower Freaks is now using the shop area to develop the BMW turbo kits.

Forged Performance in Troutdale is a good shop. John and Brian both previously worked at Groundzero. Brian knows his Honda's very well and John has extensive Nissan knowledge.

Groundzero is now in tigard oregon they're reputible and have been around a long time.

VIP Performance is on 82nd near Madison High school, they're a newer shop but are gaining a good rep quick.

I've heard nothing but good things from forged performance in troutdale.

in beverton theres also unnatrual and race dezign but i dunno if you'd recommend them.

as with any business you'll hear mixed reactions about any shop but keep an ear out for any repeat negative experience.

Personally i do all my car work on my own, but if you buy parts these are the places that can help you locate stuff as well

Good Luck and welcome to oregon

The guys @ Forged Performance are the best of the crew from the old Ground Zero. Brian, John and a new partner, David, started their own shop. They race cars themselves, sponsor both drag and roadrace cars and are really outstanding at what they do. They have a two and four wheel Mustang dyno and years of fab, turbo and tuning experience. No customer complaints with BBB ever. Great guys and shop.

Rrevmotorsports is in jensen beach area and are really good!

English Racing is not to far from portland (they are in Camas WA) and they are really good also!

Depends on what you want but either of those 2 shops will be able to do whatever you want for a good price!

Hit up Import SS. Those guys are good. They have a small shop but they do good work and at a reasonable price! They are located on NE 82nd and...I can't remember the crossstreet but if u google it, you will find it.

Forged Performance has a good rep, but turn around time is lacking. I don't want to get into specifics but a co-workers car has been there for quite a long time being rebuilt...

They did a valve adjustment/baseline run on my S2k and they were very quick and knowledgeable. Granted that's not a rebuild though.
