Since the weather is getting nicer is anyone interested in doing mini meets? The Nissan guys and some other forums seem to have small meets bi-weekly or monthly. They don't have to be big, just a chance for people to get to know one another. I'm hearing a lot of people complain how the Honda community isn't as close as it could be and how there isnt enough events during the year, this could be a chance to improve that. We could have them at a bubble tea spot or small parks like Seward or Seahurst?

Just a idea to toss around.

ive tried to organize multiple weekly meets and NOBODY has ever showed up to one. everyone says they are down for it and then bail last minute. but thats just the experience i have had

 

well lets see what we can do. how about the last Saturday of the month, a week from today? is that good? should we push the date back another week? and suggestions for a spot? Seward like the NWSR meet(s)? Seahurst park? Golden Gardens? Tyee High School like the pre-meet?

that gives us a whole week to plan this out. i can get about 4-5 cars to come just with me, i just need a location and some dedicated members that WILL show. once we get past the first meet it should be up hill from here

there will probably be a D40 floating around, so expect some good pics of your car

 

well if we could get something set up kind of central to everyone id be more interested in going, but everything is up north. Maybe someone from the tacoma area should set something up for the people from tacoma, and so on. I would, but i dont know anyone, and i dont know the city that well.

 

i'm down for this. We should have a meet then go clubbing or go paintball or sykart or something. I know everyones life on ht isn't about there car haha

well, almost all the meats are in or around Seattle lol. there are parks in between, how about steel lake park in fed way if more south end people show more interest? the drive isnt that bad, im going all the way to portland for a meet, the 45 or less mins from tacoma to a south seattle park isnt that bad. and come to the meet to meet people

yeah man i know the drive isnt bad and i wouldnt mind it if premium wasnt 4.06 a muthatruckingallon. Im set to go to portland since i missed the seattle meet, but i dont know if ill be in Yakima that saturday or not.

 

ok well lets see i'll set a date and time and we'll see who can make it.

 

monthly meets worked for while, but then someone stopped hosting them.

 

thats what im tryin to get started again. and the first one is always the hardest to get going, after that its just a matter of setting a date.

best chance of any sort of meet is to set it atleast 30days in advance.

so June 30th or whatever is the best chance of a semi-sucessful meet.

then august 30th etc.. etc..

 

well yeah but this is just a short notice small meet for who ever feels like coming out.
