Hey every Friday if the weather is ok I try to have a meet at the puyallup krispy kreme u know to meet new people and get new ideas its nice seeing new stuff each time

 

I have to drive a minimum of 50 miles just to SEE another built honda... Surrounded by old people, fisherman and hippies.

The car scene in general has gone downhill.

I have several car builds but will never affiliate with other car enthusiasts.

Ever since my EM1 was stolen, I have shut all my connections with *car* friends.

 

Everything that has been going down lately is just full of sketchy people

theifs are getting so bad :/ i cant beleive that ae86 levin got stolen if you guys havent heard about that.. And that supra in oregon :'(

Not to menchin all the new rice boys having there parents buying them built cars and what not

Also I think the whole stanced scene is rediculous.

Im trying to get out of the honda game ASAP

That is why I avoid car meets and do not post a million pictures of my car.

Every car is different: with the minor details, a thief is able to track it down by looking at one picture. Details such as dings, dents, paint fade, and of course the obvious: rims, stickers, mismatching paint.

They say that if a thief really wants my car, they'll get it? I beg to differ. The only reason why my em1 was stolen was because I forgot to chain the car down.

Wheel boots, chains, locks, removing steering wheels/ ecu, and alarm are all preventative measures.

These thieves may have resources but they will not be able to take my cars ever again.

Come at me, bro.

If you have to chain your Honda civic down in order not to get stolen, than you just need to move to a nicer neighborhood.

I have owned anything from civic hatches, to 20+ GSR's to 30+ civic SI's to type R's (21) to be exact and have only had one stupid hatch stole. Not one single car had a alarm.

 

Forget about sentimental value. hahaha

I'd love to get a small (15-20ish) regular meet going with super legit cool people, but unfortunetely I haven't met some of you guys in person, or have numbers for people. I've got a good 5 legit honest guys I'd trust with bringing into my home and around my family but nowadays it's hard to meet the honest people. to find 1 honest honda enthusiasts you have to meet 100 sketchy people.

Nothing against fishermen. I very much enjoy fishing. But most of the fishermen around here do it commercially which means they have no time for cars.

 

Agreed. It is not so much that people aren't wanting to chill and hang out, it is the simple fact that hardly anyone can be trusted anymore! And agreed, you need to move into a nicer neighborhood. Every single one of my cars had gotten broken into when I lived in my old ghetto *** apartments, and now that I live in my nice house with my 2 car garage...I don't plan on leaving the Honda World just because a couple punk *** thieves think whats mine is theirs. F that. In fact i'd like to walk out of my school one day and see someone trying to take my car, I might just beat the **** outta them with my quick release since I always take it with me haha...

...The honda tech meets are about the only meets worth going to anymore unless you can gather like 30 of your friends cars and make something happen. It is just to risky for people who do not have garages to just meet up with anyone and get followed home!

 

Its not anymore for just the enthusiast and those that are willing to pay a few extra bucks. Everybody does it now, even your mom.

Oh yea forums is old stuff now too. Its all about twitter. Forgot about that. Most retarded thing ever. I cant believe people just tell random people almost every little thing they do throughout their day. I remember using a pay phone when I was little to call my mom when cellphones were still hella expensive.
