Slammed?... Why???
call me a hater or whatever... but what exactly is the point in getting slammed? is it supposed to give that race car look? for attention? performance? *****?
reason why i ask: if $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ exotic sports cars dont do it, why does the human race do them to "economy" cars?

Re: Slammed?... Why???
i hear what you are saying. but theres benefits to being low, ie aerodynamics, handling, blah blah blah. i could go on, it can be debated back and forth. if the Slam was done right (real suspension, camber adjustments, caster, toe etc) to spec, you have a machine that can kill it in the corners.
oh btw, IBTL. this is in the wrong section lol

dude you slammed a 2500 car, he slammed his 25k and up car. If you look at the side of the chasis it looks even compared to the ground. Tims look like black te37s, which were prolly half the cost of your car.

Re: Slammed?... Why???
Typically, lower cars handle better. The lower center of gravity increases handling as a rule of thumb. However, it's all about suspension geometry, and how the suspension is designed. Lowering a car too much can change the way the suspension was designed travel and handle. Race teams spend just as much time on suspension tuning as they do engine tuning. A properly balanced car that handles exactly the way the driver wants is hard to create.
You will see race cars sitting on the ground. That's fine, the suspension geometry is designed that way. Honda factory suspension has its limits. That limit is easily exploited when people throw on a set of drop springs and talk about how well their car handles. Most people have never been in a car that handles very well. The most they see is a few quick turns getting on the entrance ramp.
I'm not trying to bust your *****. Just informing.
And yes, slammed cars look stupid. Lowered looks clean.

I dont think he cares about your geometry lesson...and neither do i. These cars are lowered for an aesthetic reason...aka hey never saw a road coarse and were just daily driven cars that we wanted to look good. I know plenty about suspension geometry but until the day that my car is actually a track car and not just a school commuter...it will stay low.

Re: Slammed?... Why???
Don't talk about handling.. lol None of these "dumped" cars are balanced. nor would they be able to be driven on a track hahaa.. There's no slowing down and angling your car through turn 7 at Thunder hill hahaha.
