Mainer list.
went out to oxford tonight havent been to the track in like 5 yrs it was hot and the track was slippery spinning every gear. Ran a 9.5@75 my first run and backed it up with a 9.5@76 1993 dx hatch b18c1 with i/h/e full leather gsr interior street tires, pretty happy with my times hoping to get my time down to a low 9 my mph is good for it.
Glad to see this thread is still bumping! I'm selling my Spec. If anyone is interested, here's the link: http://www.hondamarketplace.com/show....php?t=2629133

O hell yah man. Garage is all yours to work on bro. And Corked1260 lives right down the street from me if we need any help. And thundercleese mind if this other kid from Portland Maine meets up with you?
Hey guys.. I'm having some really weird overheating issues. My new engine and turbo setup has never once gone above normal temperatures until last saturday when the weather hit over 90 degrees. I was boosting around that day and didnt even notice my temps until it was almost redlining the gauge. I let it cool off and checked my coolant and stuff. Everything seemed fine. Since then, every time I boost hard (4th gear redline) my temp gauge shows slightly above normal temps, about half way up the gauge. As I continue driving, the temperature decreases to normal as long as I dont boost. Now yesterday I took a long 30 minute drive in the car almost completely staying out of boost. After about 20 minutes of driving my temp gauge began to creep up to halfway and stayed there until I pulled over and let it cool down.
Now today, I was driving around and had no problems at all on the highway boosting, but when I pulled off the highway driving about 2k rpm at 30mph or so, all of a sudden the gauge starts creeping up. It got about 2/3rds of the way up before I noticed it, and pulled over. Again everything seems fine, except this time a slight smell of burning coolant. I let the car cool down, but now when I start it up, the temp gauge creeps up and up without even driving. Again, I let the car cool down for about 30 minutes. Then, I start driving the car and drive it home for 20 minutes with zero heat issues.
As of right now I have zero symptoms of a blown headgasket other than the overheating. I wired up a manual fan switch and drove around with it running constantly, no help. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong?
