Trans came apart today. Found out the spline on the axles was to short and the clip was not going in far enough to keep the axle locked in. Good thing I have like 30 axles laying around and found an end to fit. I don't know if it was OBX's fault but the axle stayed in the old open diff.

 

That sucks.. I think thats a common problem with OBX LSD though. Are you going back to the stock differential?

 

I've read about that so many times on H-T.

 

I have red about them staying in but there are a lot of people who run them really successfully. I will be using the same diff I have an axle the locks in now.

 

i have a friend selling her 95 gsr for $1500 if anybody is interested, has rear quarter damage but everthing else is pretty mint, 180k miles

I was extremely frustrated with my times and traps. The first time I went out with my garbage tires I ran a 9.3 @ 84mph. Yesterday on my new tires the best I could do was 9.3 @ 79. The car has soo much more in it if only I could figure out how to launch without spinning so bad. Its capable of a mid 8 for sure. Someone needs to teach me how to drive.. how am I supposed to learn to drag when theres only one pass every hour?

At least it was fun, and it was great meeting you Colby. I got the worst sunburn of my life, pics of that later.

damn man you really do need to learn how to drive i was running 9.1 all day in my n/a b16 hatch stock b16. 84mph is def good for low to mid 8's you should pick up a better set of tires your just gonna spin with street tires. what rpm are you launching at? once my camber kit comes in im gonna take my gsr hatch to the track i'll teach you how to drive

 

Launching was completely useless, I ran 10s when I launched. The 9.3 was just rolling off the line. My reaction times were also 0.6 - 1.3

 

time to get slicks your just gonna spin down the track with street tires, with those mph you would run low 8's with slicks and a good 60'

what are your 60' times?
