I am planning on moving to either Chicago (or Detroit) for my job in February. Can anyone comment on the car theft scene over there? I am debating on bringing my hatch or leaving it with my parents in south Florida. I have an 92 EH3 with a JDM ITR swap. I figured that in the city of Chicago I might not need my car, but in Detroit I will need a car I assume. I am not sure which location I will be at yet.

 

I probably would not take it. If your ride is nice, it probably won't last long...

 

Will you actually be in the city of Chicago or the suburbs? In the city I wouldn't bother, just buy a bicycle and a bus pass.
