Default Machine work? HELP!!!

Sorry for the newbie question. I am looking for a local machine shop to resurface and lighten my stock flywheel. I dont even know where any good local machine shops are. If I get the flywheel work done, do I have to have it balanced on the engine or can I just put it back on? Also how much does this work generally cost? Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't really call this too local...but they do damn good work. They did all the work on my buddy's built GSR and it made 672whp...
