Dude, the Honda scene in Pittsburgh sucks as it is, being it's flooded with young ricers and a bunch of lame sh*t. You don't stop at just wanting a descent crowd to go to shows with, you want a descent crowd that drives hooked up DC's specifically....good luck.

I've got a DelSol with a GT30R...all my own fab, my own turbo mani, tuning, headwork, engine build, everything done by me. I TIG anything and everything and do anything wiring. In the process I have built some cars for guys who are now friends of mine. My boy has an H2D EF, other friend has a B20turbo/GSR trans EG hatch....all are clean and all in my area. I've got a friend with a turbo EK also...lots of dudes from Belle Vernon area runnin some non-honda stuff.

If you wanna put together a Pittsburgh H-T meet, I'd be into working with you on that. Maybe mid summer sometime?

Pittspeed is alright, but there's alot of controversy on that site. Hybrid Dynamics and their people run the show, so if your not down with them and all their hype then your on the sh*t list. Consider me on that sh*t list. So if pittspeed is involved, count me out.

why dont you try to base your meet around an event. we have had many meets in the past few years but people only show up when there is an event shortly there after.

check beaver runs schedule to see what they offer or base it off of the flashlight drags.

the quakerstake and lube in cranberry has always let us use there parking lot in the past with pre aproval.

Well, I was actually hoping to base one on an event that was to occur a little way away...that way there was a road trip involved.

There's a H-T meet in OH in mid june that has a dyno setup and sh*t...it'd be cool to get a crew together here then head out that way. The meet is in Columbus, so that's only 2.5 hrs from Pittsburgh...not too bad.

Flashlight drags sounds like alota fun if we got some H-T guys togeather..

I got a few more local guys that would come, include
-My gsr
-1 hooked up Type-R
-1 Ls type r clone
-2 RSX type's 1 with full mugen kit (varrry nice)
-boosted civic

all these cars are clean and hooked up
then theres some not so mentionable, prelude SI, and del sol couple integra LS semi ricers who would come up

up top makes for a good start thou... whos down for a meet in a month or two once the weather breaks for good? maybe we could meet somewhere n go to flashlight drags in zeili

Only got to go to one and that was when the warmer winter we were having turned to crap anyway so it was generally the fella's from Hybrid Dynamics, myself, and Tom from by me (you'd know him as Uncle Ben)....so I'm kinda looking forward to some good stuff this summer as well.

I guess if there's anything positive to say about Pittsburgh's import scene (or lack thereof), it's that there's relatively no theft to worry about. I don't know about the people who live closer to the burgh, maybe it is a big issue there, but out here in the suburbs (I live in Beaver County, about 1/2 hour drive to Pittsburgh), me and my friends have never had an issue with theft/breakins/vandalism, etc...

The S-cars from yesteryears are the direct predecessors to the modern S2000.

goodluck on trying to bring back the ht scene of old in pittsburgh. there hasnt been action here in years. roll out to some auto-x events and drags and youll see some guys from here, but other than that youre in the wrong spot. things used to be so good with the scene here, maybe this summer it will make a come back, but ill prob miss it. Working the show scene is so much better than hanging around no-scene pittsburgh, love it or hate it. Check out import fusion, its really the only car show for our kind around. Friday nights at the church in wexford are also some classic times, as are the flashlight drags.

and oh yeah...moon represent

there are a few decent EGs and DCs up here in the Grove City/Slippery Rock area. went to one of the g2g at QSL last summer then headed out to Moraine State Park.
