Default Looking for an installer in md/sopa/nova/

hey all,
i'm looking for someone well versed in alarm installation that can take care of one for me. i'd rather not get bent over on the pricing over the counter, and most shops seem they don't want to install anything they didn't sell.

so here's what i'll have
car: 99 civic hatch with Si lock/window/mirror conversion 5MT
alarm: so far looking at the viper 5901

i'm in baltimore but would travel up to 1.5-2 hours if it's worth it.

thanks in advance

I would avoid having a typical car audio shop install your alarm. Unless you pay for a stealth install, which is expensive, you're just going to get the most basic alarm install, which is easily bypassed by a thief. Also, knowing exactly how everything is installed is very beneficial in case something goes wrong down the road.

This is a great source of information. The install is fairly easy, there are some things that are a pain but everything is doable over the course of a weekend. The trick is wire organization!!!

I still have a few looses ends to clean-up on my install. I had a kill switch wired into my ignition wire that killed power to said ignition and the accessories but I can't remember how I had it wired. So, little frustrating things like that can be annoying and I should've taken more time to really really hide the wires but what I have now is far better then anything a typical audio shop would do.
