I was wondering if there are any local shops around my area "central PA," distance doesnt matter that much, that will do engine swaps? I can't swap engines, I would make a mess, and end up ruining everything..Swaps are far from intermediate work...so if anyone can post some links to shops that do quality work I'd appreciate it much thanks again....oh 2003 civic ex, swap out the 1.7 for the beffy k24 thanks again

theres two certified honda techs here. my manager which use to drag race and had a $150k 7 sec. drag civic and at a point did 85 swaps in one year. also me, im also a certified honda tech with two swapped cars... we dont ghetto rig or rape anyone like JE or any of these other "performance" shops

 

yeah i was just looking into je in baltimore, i asked him what the deal was, and he said 6-7k for everything, from 1100 in labor and another 6 grand in parts, cause there website makes no sense whats so ever...shoot me a emial address or a website i can gander, i just want to know what im getting myself into, like i said i wouldnt even attempt a swap, cause im not that mechanically tuned..lmfao

Bro you can do the swap buy the honda motor swap book and give yourself 2 weeks you will save yourself allot of money. Take the cash you would spend on that buy yourself some tools and do it. I have done many swaps take the engine out of the mounts drop the other in take the spindals out and change the axels out take all the engine wires out and the old ECU and put the new stuff in believe me you would be suprised in how easy it really is. I did my first one about a year in and it took me two weeks and I did it in a parking lot lol.
