Default K24 Swap in Em2

I have a gray 2004 Honda Civic Ex and I would love to build it, I would like to swap a k24 engine in it but is it worth it? How much is the build estimated to cost me if I had a shop do it? Or should I just invest in an FA5?
I plan to use my tax return to fund the build.

the k24 is an awesome motor it makes great tq and quite fun to drive around. for the swap, usually labor can be the same as the parts cost. i wouldnt see it out of the question for a shop to charge you around the same for labor as the parts cost. you could easily be looking at 6000 + dollars. That said it should be known i have never paid a shop for any of my work, but know people who have and it can be pricey.
