Need help diagnosing a clutch problem
I have a 2012 Accord 5 speed manual whose clutch just experienced sudden failure. The clutch material was literally shredded. It looked like tufts of dark gray cotton candy. My son who is 25 years old and has literally been driving nothing but manual transmissions for 10 years so I know it's not user error. He was just trying to go to work when all of a sudden, it burned up. So we take it to the shop, they replace the clutch and flywheel with an oem kit, reputable brand, and literally the same exact thing happened the day I picked it up. He hadn't been gone 5 minutes from picking the car up from my house, when it happened again. Please assume user error is not the case, and tell me what is wrong. My mechanic is a toyota/lexus trained mechanic but admittedly doesn't do a lot of clutch work. However, he is a good mechanic. Be that as it may, what could it be besides user error?
