Default Thinking about retrofit

After reading about the glare of pnp kits and how much better light I'm getting from retrofitting, heck I might as well give it a try. I have a few questions to ask first though.

1. On a scale of 1-10, how hard would you rate doing it on a 97 Accord? Remember, I have never done this before.

2. Can you recommend me the parts to get for this project. I need it to be cheap, but not crappy. I am a college student with things to pay for.

3. How long would it take to complete this? Will my headlights housing be taken out the whole time?

Thx.

1. 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest, I'd give it a 1 since I've done a few 94-97 Accord headlights.

2. Cheapest setup you can probably do is an E46 single xenon setup. I have a pair of these that I'm not using right now that I"ll sell for only $75shipped

Parts needed
-D2S bulbs
-Ballast
-Projectors
-Headlights
-Dremel
-Time
-PATIENCE

3. I can usually have a retrofit done anywhere between 2-4 days. For this type of setup, I could have it done in about 2 days and have it shipped right out.

A pair of E46 single xenon projectors with bulb holders. To give you an idea of what they look like, here's a pic I got off of ebay

another good pair to use would be TSX projectors. These usually sell anywhere between $120-$170 depending on where you find them. These have a wider light output, more blue/purple color flicker, and sharper cutoff than the E46's.Here's a pic of a retrofit I did awhile back for an Accord using TSX projectors

Is there a specific year(s) I would look for in the TSX projector?

Is this a good deal? $280ish for 05 TSX projectors with new D2S bulbs?

Also, how much do you think the total would be for all the parts?

personally, that's too much for just projectors and bulbs, but if it were projectors and ballast, then that'd be a good deal...You can spend anywhere from Free-$500 depending on where you can source all the parts
