Removing projector screws without baking the headlight?
Hi guys,
I recently replaced my halogen projector with HID projector from the Acura TL 4g. During the testing part, I played with the spacers and it seems to be great on both projectors. I did not see any differences as far as brightness or have any hotspot other than a bluer cutoff. After I installed it into the headlight and put everything back together, there are now 2 hot spots, also one side is dimmer than the other, and both are dimmer than during testing. My light steps are now not focus at all when shine at ~25ft away from the wall. I am planning to take out the spacers without baking the headlamp again by drilling some holes into the back housing. If I drill a hole thru the back housing to get to the screws that hold the projector in place, unscrew the screw, and hopefully the spacer will drop out, will this effect anything after 3 holes are drilled other than dust or water might get in? I can cover up those holes using tape when done if it not going to damage anything in the future.

It is a pain in the butt but the problem is my oven isnt big enough for the headlight. I had to borrow my friend's oven last time, which isn't easy since we have different work schedule. I might just drill some holes and patch it up after. Wasn't sure if that will do any long term damage other than moisture. Hopefully after the patch, there wont be any moisture :/ thanks guys.
