Default PIAA bulbs

I was watching American LeMans racing on TV this weekend. Many of these cars have headlights that seem very bright. I'm sure it works very well, because in racing, lighting is critical.

When the cars pulled into the pit, I can see the stickers. "PIAA."

Ok, so it's got Piaa lighting.

I have experience with Piaa. The superwhites were cool, but didn't last as long as the price paid. And their fog lights were awesome. The real deal. That was 10+ years ago.

However, I went to their web site.

http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs.html

All they have are these "appearance bulbs."

I'm looking for "performance bulbs."

If it's good enough for LeMans, it's good enough for me. So do these cars really have Piaa bulbs? Or Piaa is just an Advertiser on the car?

Geez, $80 for a pair of H1's

If they are anything like the Silverstars then I would never get them. I went through 4 pairs of those crap lights in less than a year

If the bulb is 55w then why do they blow so quickly¿

What about their racing series? http://www.piaa.com/RacingProducts/RacingProducts.html
