Okay so my 93 Del Sol trunk wiring is pissing me off. My cluster shows that my trunk is open, weather or not I'm driving, and it's closed. I took apart my carpet in the trunk to expose the wiring harness and found out that the latch has a single red wire harness and is NOT connected to ANYTHING. I've looked and looked but there's no other harness to connect it to. Obviously the trunk light should be connected in a series circuit with the latch switch and/or cluster to indicate that it's closed but. the person that had it before me cut the trunk light wire it seems to prevent his battery from draining due to the trunk light always being on. Any idea how my wiring is supposed to look?
