Default LIGHTING PROBLEM

Ok so my friend has a 90 civic dx with an ls swap.

He is having a wiring issue after removing the dash and re installing.
ON with the problem.

When you turn the key to the on position the engine light stays lite ( there is no engine light) When you turn the turn signal or the headlights on the engine light goes off.

When you use the flashers key off: the driver speaker makes a noise and the flashers lite up but dont blink or anything.

Checked the grounds on both sides for the headlights and the one on driver side under dash by relay.

Any help would be great! Thanks

that is really odd.
maybe some wiring is being pinched/crushed behind the dash.

so all this happened after simply removing and re-installing the dash, and It all worked before hand?

BTW your blinker (flasher) should not function at all with the ignition off.

The flashers should always work key on or off. (hazards)

all grounds are good to, My only guess is that something is pinched

Yep all he did was remove it and reinstall it and now this. it all worked before
