Default # of leds in SI cluster.

so i've decided to make my cluster a little bit brighter and im too lazy to take out the cluster. im pretty sure someone's done it before. btw. im getting my leds from super-leds.com. any recommendations?

I'm pretty sure Si clusters are the same as Prelude clusters. What you'll need to do is get LED strips which is what I did when I changed my gauge cluster lights. You'll need to take apart your cluster and scrape the material behind each number so that you get the full affect of the LED bulbs

Yep, sadly the OE bulbs with LED replacement units aren't nearly as bright since the 74 bulbs don't illuminate to the sides at all, now if you want "crazy" illumination like shown above than you can get led flex strips from Oznium and install them like this:

which will give a look like this:

*borrowed pics, mine are cell phone pics and they suck, also this is blue but you could use any color flex strip*


I went the latter route with the flex strips and I'm alot happier with the output of the light, I'm actually in the process of installing RGB led units to allow me to change the clusters color for mood/show...
