LED headlight info
I was in the drag racing section and noticed a post about the Magnus Motorsport Porsche and was intrigued by the headlight configuration

if anyone would have a clue how the headlight is setup or any information I would appreciate it, having looked around for a bit I can not really find any info

LED headlights have several flat style LED's at certain angles to the lense. This angle is critical even thought the lens will still focus the beam, LED's are directional so the angle has to be right. The lens is said to be much different from the HID lens. I cannot find any info on that yet.
I would like to see someone use an HID lense and retro a stack of say 14-18 LED's into formation for a low beam keeping the angles so that the mechanical cutoff is not necessary.

if you look at the pics you can see the car with the LED headlights next to a car with HIDs and you can tell that the LEDs are not meant to light up the road.
