Default HVAC lights

hows it going ppl. i noticed in my 1992 hatch that the back lighting on the heater/ac control seems to light up half only on one side (closest to driver) and a couple times not light up at all. im assumning there is bulbs in there i can change?anyone know a removale step for this?thanks

yes, and it's a pain the *** if you do it for the first time. A lot of curse words will come right out of your mouth.

Since you said it lights up on one side but will be sometimes on or sometimes off, then I think the problem is not with the bulb itself but with the silicon circuit board. I changed the bulbs in my hatchback and it still does the same thing. I have to bang on the dash to turn it on, or sometimes road vibrations or switching on the fans will turn it off. I took apart the climate control unit but the solder points look fine and the wires look fine, I tried wiggling the wires when it was connected but nothing happens unless I jiggle the whole thing. The frustration made me utter just about every curse word known to me.
