So I just got my car and I'm having a slight issue. I own a 95 civic si and the guy who had it before me installed hid's. I no longer have the stock headlight wiring harness just the ballasts and the wiring that came with his kit. The problem is I have 8k slim hids. I have NO LOW BEAMS! There is only one filament.

My question to you guys is: Can I get a dual filament HID setup and run it off of the current ballast that is in there or do I have to get a wiring harness to make both highs and lows work? I'm a tad confused with the whole situation and I'm not really sure what to do with it.

You need Bi-xenon bulbs. But I don't understand how you don't have the stock wiring harness. The HID kit plugs into it does it not?

 

Ok thank you sir. There are 2 red wires that go from my bay up to the firewall and into my dash... I dont have plugs or anything in there right now. Which is why Im so friggin confused!!! Im sure that part of the wiring harness is there still, but i dont know how much of it is there... Im completely new to hondas. My background is pretty much all VW. It is swapped. This is why Im not sure on how much of this is stock, what is missing, what is extra etc...

 

$10 says your original headlight bulb harness is still there.

 

Let's hope... Now the only thing that I can hope for is that my car isnt stuck under a foot of ice and snow when I get to it tomorrow. She's been parked for the last month, and in PA this last month has been HELL!

 

i bet the power wire going into the plug is in the wrong place and all you have to do is swap it to the low beam side. you will still only have low beams and no high beams.

 

i have the 10k slim hid steup with the 10k there is a low beam as well and its plug and play. if you have any more questions pm me.

 

The kid who had the car before me cut the wires... So I guess Ill need some sockets to run stock headlight bulbs. For now.... I think thats all I'll need

Are you sure he didn't just tuck the harness??
